Mid Day Market Commrntary

The market is trading flat at lower level as the some selling is seen in the selective scrips. The overall market breadth is positive as 1222 stocks are advancing while 1164 stocks are declining on BSE and 78 stocks remained unchanged on BSE.

At 12.30 pm, BSE sensex was at 14,506.34 down by 1.87 points and Nifty was at 4,279.40 down by 13.85 points. The BSE mid cap is marginally higher by 1.30 points to 6255.81 and small cap advanced by 35.16 points to 7423.49.

BSE Capital goods index surged 298.05 points to 11,194.19 as L&T (6.42%), BHEL (0.48%), Siemens (0.32%) and ABB (0.2%) are trading in green.

BSE Oil & gas index was trading 47.35 points up at 7,839.98 as IPCL (2.12%), HPCL (1.54%), and BPCL (0.48%) are trading in green whereas GAIL (1.3%) and ONGC (0.85%) are trading in red.

BSE Auto index grew 30.27 points to trade at 4,987.80 as Bajaj (1.61%), Hero Honda (0.49%) and Tata Motors (0.3%) are trading in positive while M&M (0.86%) and Maruti (0.46%) are trading in negative.

BSE Metal index inclined 18.97 points to trade at 10,513.22 as Tata Steel (0.93%) is trading higher whereas Hindalco (1.11%), NALCO (0.83%) and SAIL (0.52%) are trading lower.

BSE Health Care index inclined 6.54 points to trade at 3,864.07 as Cipla (1.28%), Dr. Reddy (0.37%), Ranbaxy (0.32%) and Sun Pharma (0.3%) are trading in positive.

BSE Banks index advanced 2.41 points to trade at 7,603.20 as SBI (2.11%) is trading higher while HDFC Bank (1.73%), PNB (1.63%) and ICICI Bank (0.33%) are trading lower.

BSE IT index declined 31.62 points to trade at 4,876.53 as Satyam (1.4%), Wipro (1.24%), Infosys (1.11%) and TCS (0.95%) are trading in red.

BSE FMCG index slipped 20.22 points to trade at 1,894.03 as HLL (1.72%), ITC (1.52%) and Dabur (1.2%) are trading in red.
