The BSE Sensex remains range bound and trading flat. The overall market breadth is positive as 1351 stocks are advancing while 932 stocks are declining and 69 stocks remained unchanged on BSE.
At 12.30 pm, BSE sensex was at 14,532.01 down by 3 points and Nifty was at 4,274.35 down by 10.3 points. The BSE mid cap is higher by 49.87 points at 6,310.89 while small cap advanced by 54.39 points to 7,541.06.
BSE Capital goods index inclined 78.35 points to 11,232.62 as L&T (1.29%) and Siemens (0.27%) are trading in green while BHEL (0.75%) and ABB (0.46%) are trading in red.
BSE IT index advanced 59.36 points to trade at 4,944.29 as Satyam (2.02%), Infosys (1.24%), Wipro (0.72%) and TCS (0.58%) are trading in green.
BSE FMCG index inclined 1.34 points to trade at 1,871.21 as HLL (0.46%) is trading in green while ITC (0.56%) and Dabur (0.54%) are trading in red.
BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 38.89 points down at 7,673.19 as BPCL (1.14%), GAIL (0.96%), ONGC (0.81%) and IPCL (0.55%) are trading in red.
BSE Metal index declined 37.89 points to trade at 10,610.94 as SAIL (2.52%), Tata Steel (0.64%) and NALCO (0.10%) are trading lower while Hindalco (0.58%) is trading higher.
BSE Banks index slipped 29.78 points to trade at 7,794.19 as PNB (1.67%), HDFC Bank (1.26%) and ICICI Bank (0.67%) are trading lower while SBI (0.53%) is trading higher.
BSE Auto index dropped 19.14 points to trade at 4,941.11 as Tata Motors (2.06%), Maruti Udyog (0.89%), Hero Honda (0.29%) and M&M (0.07%) are trading in negative.
BSE Health Care index slipped 6.21 points to trade at 3841.78 as Sun Pharma (0.89%), Dr. Reddy (0.53%), are trading in red.
