Mid Day Market Commentary

The market is trading lower as selling continued in the selective scrips. The overall market breadth is positive as 1098 stocks are advancing while 1083 stocks are declining and 74 stocks remained unchanged on BSE.

At 12.30 pm, BSE sensex was at 14,095.08 down by 35.87 points and Nifty was at 4,139.25 down by 15.95 points. The BSE mid cap is higher by 13.58 points at 6,097.98 and small cap advanced by 23.51 points to 7,252.39.

BSE Health Care index grew 10.65 points to trade at 3,750.49 as Dr. Reddy (3.04%) and GSK (0.07%) are trading in positive while Sun Pharma (1.18%) and Cipla (0.19%) are trading in negative.

BSE Auto index inclined 10.04 points to trade at 4,656.30 as Tata Motors (0.94%) and Maruti Udyog (0.85%) are trading in positive while Hero Honda (0.78%) and M&M (0.24%) are trading in negative.

BSE Capital goods index slipped 31.44 points to 10,824.88 as ABB (1.48%) and BHEL (1.32%) are trading in red while L&T (0.17%) and Siemens (0.11%) are trading in green.

BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 26.86 points down at 7,463.85 as GAIL (2.03%), BPCL (1.56%), HPCL (1.12%), IPCL (0.90%) and RPL (0.26%) are trading in red.

BSE Banks index is trading lower 24.71 points to trade at 7,428.81 as SBI (1.27%), PNB (1.09%) and HDFC Bank (0.73%) are trading lower while ICICI Bank (0.40%) is trading higher.

BSE FMCG index dropped 11.83 points to trade at 1,778.23 as ITC (1.46%) and HLL (0.89) are trading in red while Dabur (0.65%) is trading green.

BSE Metal index declined 8.26 points to trade at 10,351.66 as Hindalco (0.94%) and SAIL (0.73%) are trading lower while Tata Steel (0.57%) and NALCO (0.47%) are trading higher.

BSE IT index dropped 9.88 points to trade at 4,965.62 as Wipro (1.06%), TCS (0.44%) and Infosys (0.43%) are trading in negative while HCL (0.56%) and Satyam (0.48%) are trading in positive.
