Mid Day market Commentary

The market continued to trade higher since morning today on account of buying seen in the selective scrips. The overall market breadth is positive as 1499 stocks are advancing while 921 stocks are declining on BSE.

At 12.31 pm, BSE sensex was at 14,640.27 up by 135.70 points while Nifty was at 4,310.65 up by 28.65 points. The BSE mid cap is higher by 63.98 points at 6,521.98 and small cap advanced by 71.72 points to 7,733.82.

BSE Capital goods index increased 136.96 points to 12,208.51 as ABB (4.05%), L&T (0.97%), Siemens (0.79%) and BHEL (0.40%) are trading in green.

BSE Banks index is trading higher 134.98 points to trade at 7,921.70 as SBI (2.31%), PNB (1.75%), ICICI Bank (1.48%) and HDFC Bank (1.37%) are trading in positive.BSE IT index advanced 35.01 points to trade at 4,876.63 as Infosys (1.04%), HCL Tech (0.90%) and Wipro (0.19%) are trading higher

BSE Health Care index grew 31.19 points to trade at 3,797.06 as Ranbaxy (2.01%), Cipla (0.99%), Sun Pharma (0.69%) and Dr. Reddy (0.15%) are trading in positive.

BSE Auto index increased 25.08 points to trade at 4,739.26 as M&M (2.69%), Bajaj Auto (2.1%) and Tata Motors (1.36%) are trading in green while Hero Honda (0.74%) and Maruti (0.67%) are trading in red.

BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 18.49 points up at 7,617.64 as ONGC (0.11%) is trading in green whereas GAIL (3.12%) and BPCL (0.59% are trading in red.

BSE Metal index improved 10.17 points to trade at 10,644.67 as Tata Steel (0.67%) is trading in positive while Hindalco (2.37%) and NALCO (0.38%) are trading in negative.

BSE FMCG index fell 1.66 points to trade at 1,821.04 as ITC (0.65%), Dabur (0.63%) ) are trading in negative.
