The market is now trading higher as the strong buying continued in the metal, capital goods and bank index. The overall market breadth is positive as 1817 stocks are advancing while 651 stocks are declining and 62 stocks remains unchanged on BSE.
At 12.31 pm, BSE sensex was at 15,060.22 up by 149.60 points while Nifty was at 4,429.80 up by 42.65 points. The BSE mid cap is higher by 75.73 points at 6,780.13 and small cap advanced by 128.37 points to 8,203.23.
BSE Metal index improved 227.32 points to trade at 11,332.18 as Hindalco (3.87%), SAIL (2.90%), NALCO (1.47%) and Tata Steel (1.07%) are trading in positive.
BSE Capital goods index surged 207.44 points to 12,963.41 as BHEL (3.3%), ABB (2.3%), Siemens (1.42%) and L&T (0.55%) are trading in green.
BSE Banks index is trading up by 148.55 points to trade at 8,237.33 as PNB (2.26%), HDFC Bank (2.09%), ICICI Bank (1.78%) and SBI (1.36%) are trading in positive.
BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 76.04 points up at 7,697.58 as RPL (1.74%), HPCL (1.56%), IPCL (0.59%), GAIL (0.32%) and ONGC (0.11%) are trading in positive.
BSE Health Care index grew 47.67 points to trade at 3,878.46 as Cipla (1.89%), GSK (1.12%), Sun Pharma (1.01%) and Ranbaxy Lab. (0.84%) are trading in positive.
BSE FMCG index increased 22.27 points to trade at 1,866.27 as HLL (1.97%) and ITC (0.65%) are trading in positive.
BSE Auto index increased 15.81 points to trade at 4,936.09 as Hero Honda (0.60%), Bajaj Auto (0.52%) and Maruti (0.25%) are trading in green while Tata Motors (0.95%) and M&M (0.90%) are trading in red.
BSE IT index improved 12.46 points to trade at 4,881.23 as Satyam (0.42%) and Wipro (0.20%) are trading in green whereas TCS (0.70%), HCL Tech. (0.30%) and Infosys (0.26%) are trading in red.
