Mid Market Commentary

The market is now trading flat. Most of the buying was seeing in the mid cap and small cap. The profit booking was seen in the Capital Goods and Banking stocks. The overall market breadth is positive as 1515 stocks are advancing while 885 stocks are declining and 78 stocks remained unchanged on BSE.

At 12.31 pm, BSE sensex was at 15,706.84 up by 7.51 points while Nifty was at 4,580.15 down by 8.55 points. The BSE mid cap is higher by 44.63 points at 6,799.83 and small cap advanced by 79.51 points to 8,135.87.

BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 99.29 points higher at 8,302.37 as ONGC (1.07%), RPL (0.88%), IPCL (0.79%) and HPCL (0.78%) are trading in positive.

BSE IT index increased 84.55 points to trade at 4,991.34 as Satyam (2.46%), Infosys (2.01%), TCS (1.05%) and Wipro (0.60%) are trading in green.

BSE Health Care index improved 70.87 points to trade at 3,803.73 as Ranbaxy (7.62%), Cipla (3.76%), Dr. Reddy (1.06%) and Sun Pharma (0.42%) are trading in positive.

BSE Auto index increased 61.56 points to trade at 5,084.36 as Maruti Udyog (3.09%), Bajaj Auto (1.95%), Tata Motors (1.65%) and M&M (0.77%) are trading in green.

BSE FMCG index decreased 0.80 points to trade at 1,914.55 as ITC (1.20%) and HUL (0.50%) are trading in red while Dabur (3.96%) is trading in green.

BSE Capital goods index dropped 183.42 points to 13,245.38 as BHEL (2.24%), L&T (1.60%), ABB (1.06%) and Siemens (0.59%) are trading in negative.

BSE Metal index decreased 39.13 points to trade at 12,121.93 as NALCO (1.04%), Tata Steel (0.63%), SAIL (0.03%) and Hindalco Industries (0.27%) are trading in red.

BSE Banks index is trading down by 62.59 points to trade at 8,221.77 as PNB (4.88%), HDFC Bank (3.39%), SBI (0.89%) and ICICI Bank (0.31%) are trading in negative.
