Mid Market Commentary

The market has lost some gaining momentum and shed few points as selling emerged in the selective scrips led by Banking, Auto and IT stocks. The overall market breadth is positive as 1433 stocks are advancing while 979 stocks are declining and 71 stocks remained unchanged on BSE.

At 12.31 pm, BSE sensex was at 15,297.14 up by 36.23 points while Nifty was at 4,452.35 up by 12.3 points. The BSE mid cap is higher by 19.68 points at 6,638.67 and small cap advanced by 50.74 points to 7,992.49.

BSE Capital goods index increased 153.69 points to 12,852.66 as ABB (2.06%), L&T (1.92%) and BHEL (1.82%) are trading in positive whereas Siemens (1.51%) is trading in negative.

BSE Metal index increased 110.25 points to trade at 11,491.52 as SAIL (1.37%), Hindalco Industries (1.20%), NALCO (1.17%) and Tata Steel (0.62%) are trading in green.

BSE FMCG index improved 31.12 points to trade at 1,976.38 as ITC (2.66%) and Dabur (0.39%) are trading in green while HUL (1.41%) is trading in red.

BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 15.80 points higher at 7,996.55 as BPCL (1.97%), RPL (0.91%), IPCL (0.27%) and ONGC (0.11%) are trading in positive.

BSE Health Care index grew 15.67 points to trade at 3,698.14 as Ranbaxy (1.86%) is trading higher while Sun Pharma (1.29%), GSK (1.04%) and Dr. Reddy (0.16%) are trading lower.

BSE Banks index is trading down by 72.53 points to trade at 7,982.61 as SBI (1.27%), PNB (0.79%), ICICI Bank (0.76%) and HDFC Bank (0.60%) are trading in negative.

BSE IT index decreased 15.91 points to trade at 4,829.88 as Infosys (1.21%), Wipro (1.01%) and TCS (0.18%) are trading in red while HCL Tech. (0.97%) and Satyam (0.84%) are trading in green.

BSE Auto index decreased 9.24 points to trade at 4,916.23 as M&M (3.2%), Tata Motors (2.55%), Maruti Udyog (2.01%) and Hero Honda (1.46%) are trading in red.
