Mid Market Commentary

The market after a steep fall in the opening session now become stable and is trading lower. All the sectorial indices are trading in red. The overall market breadth is negative as 786 stocks are advancing while 1614 stocks are declining and 50 stocks remained unchanged on BSE.

At 12.31 pm, BSE sensex was at 14,813.37 down by 325.03 points while Nifty was at 4,309.55 down by 92 points. The BSE mid cap is lower by 102.33 points at 6,502.91 and small cap dropped by 91.36 points to 7,800.18.

BSE Capital goods index dropped 305.09 points to 12,671.19 as BHEL (2.96%), L&T (2.90%), Siemens (2.87%) and ABB (1.91%) are trading in negative.

BSE Metal index decreased 295.67 points to trade at 11,028.96 as Hindalco Industries (4.91%), SAIL (2.68%) and Tata Steel (2.15%) are trading in red.

BSE Banks index is trading down by 154.37 points to trade at 7,894.14 as ICICI Bank (3.17%), HDFC Bank (2.94%), PNB (1.40%) and SBI (0.67%) are trading in negative.

BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 120.43 points lower at 7,687.91 as IPCL (2.51%), GAIL (2.42%), ONGC (0.90%) and RPL (0.88%) are trading in negative.

BSE IT index decreased 92.50 points to trade at 4,611.80 as HCL Tech. (4.36%), Wipro (2.55%), Satyam (2.54%) and Infosys (1.62%) are trading down.

BSE Auto index fell 66.52 points to trade at 4,731.13 as Maruti Udyog (2.94%), M&M (1.77%), Hero Honda (1.53%), Bajaj Auto (1.29%) and Tata Motors (0.91%) are trading in red.

BSE Health Care index dropped 31.69 points to trade at 3,596.76 as Cipla (1.60%), Sun Pharma (1.51%), GSK (0.35%) and Dr. Reddy (0.32%) are trading lower.

BSE FMCG index slipped 18.87 points to trade at 1,938.24 as HUL (2.44%) and ITC (1.76%) are trading in red while Dabur (0.99%) is trading in green.
