Mid Market Commentary

The market has lost some of its gaining points and slipped from the day''s high as profit booking emerged in the selective scrips led by the Metal stocks. The overall market breadth is positive as 1600 stocks are advancing while 811 stocks are declining and 64 stocks remained unchanged on BSE.

At 12.30 pm, BSE sensex was at 15,087.06 up by 94.02 points while Nifty was at 4,387.60 up by 28.30 points. The BSE mid cap is higher by 60.72 points at 6,511.11 and small cap advanced by 88.84 points to 7,963.06.

BSE Auto index improved 85.35 points to trade at 4,797.04 as M&M (3.21%), Tata Motors (2.97%), Bajaj Auto (1.51%), Maruti Udyog (0.96%) and Hero Honda (0.31%) are trading in green.

BSE Capital goods index surged 82.22 points to 13,328.93 as Siemens (1.65%), ABB (1.62%) and BHEL (0.76%) are trading in positive whereas L&T (0.54%) are trading in negative.

BSE Banks index is trading up by 61.43 points to trade at 7,714.21 as PNB (0.86%), ICICI Bank (0.82%), HDFC Bank (0.43%) and SBI (0.38%) are trading higher.

BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 38.55 points higher at 7,975.06 as IPCL (1.07%), HPCL (0.42%) and ONGC (0.12%) are trading in positive while BPCL (1.29%) and GAIL (0.62%) are trading in negative.

BSE IT index advanced by 28.73 points to trade at 4,533.13 as HCL Tech.(1.03%), Infosys (0.65%) and Wipro (0.43%) are trading up while Satyam (0.29%) and TCS (0.16%) are trading down.
