Mid Market Commentary

The market is now trading flat on account of the selling pressures seen in the Realty, It and Bank stocks. However the broader market has outperformed the bench mark indices the BSE mid cap is higher by 30.26 points at 6,927.26 and small cap advanced by 67.79 points to 8,640.55. The overall market breadth is positive as 1595 stocks are advancing while 892 stocks are declining and 63 stocks remained unchanged on BSE.

At 12.30 pm, BSE Sensex was at 15,598.48 down by 5.32 points while Nifty was at 4,519.90 up by 1.90 points.

BSE Metal index grew 103.95 points to trade at 12,083.91 as Sterlite Industries (1.24%), NALCO (1.13%), Tata Steel (0.99%), JSW Steel (0.84%) and Hindalco Industries (0.26%) are trading higher.

BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 44.07 points higher at 8,431.29 as GAIL (0.92%), ONGC (0.60%), BPCL (0.33%) and IPCL (0.25%) are trading in positive whereas HPCL (0.29%), Indian Oil (0.47%) and RPL (0.19%) are trading in negative.

BSE Capital goods index improved 27.87 points to 13,729.43 as Siemens (0.40%) and L&T (0.04%) are trading up whereas ABB(0.51%) ans BHEL (0.04%) are trading down.

BSE FMCG index increased 16.31 points to trade at 2,089.12 as HUL (0.90%) and ITC (0.91%) are trading higher while Dabur (0.94%) is trading lower.

BSE Health Care index increased 14.44 points to trade at 3,680 asGlenmark Pharma (1.20%), Dr. Reddy (0.62%), Cipla (0.58%), GSK (0.50%) and Sun Pharma (0.40%) are trading in green.

BSE Auto index grew 3.85 points to trade at 4,889.32 as Bajaj Auto (0.46%), Mahindra & Mahindra (0.30%), Ashok Leyland (0.14%) and Tata Motors (0.03%) are trading in positive while Hero Honda (0.53%) is trading in positive.

BSE IT index dropped by 32.89 points to trade at 4,416.25 as Satyam (1.63%), TCS (1.37%) and Infosys (1.20%) are trading up .

BSE Banks index slipped by 8.02 points to trade at 8,128.09 as ICICI Bank (0.24%), HDFC Bank (0.32%) and PNB (0.20%) are trading in red
