Mid Session Market

The market has lost further grounds on the back of selling pressures in the selective scrips mainly led by the IT stocks. However the Realty and Oil & Gas stocks are gaining grounds.

The overall market breadth is negative as 1216 stocks are advancing while 1425 stocks are declining and 70 stocks remained unchanged on BSE.

At 12.30 pm, BSE Sensex was at 16,318.72 down by 29.23 points while Nifty was at 4,758.45 up by 10.90 points. The BSE mid cap is higher by 65.52 points at 7,198.23 and small cap advanced by 45.62 points to8,921.69.

BSE Metal index surged 37.61 points to trade at 12,760.92 as SAIL (1.07%), Tata Steel (0.27%) and JSW Steel (0.43%) are trading higher whereas Hindalco Industries (0.68%) and NALCO (0.34%) are trading lower.

BSE Capital goods index improved 6.66 points to 14,399.12 as ABB (0.47%) and BHEL (0.21%) are trading up while Siemens (1.61%) and L&T (0.22%) are trading down.

BSE Auto index advanced 19.33 points to trade at 5,156.18 as Hero Honda (1.55%), Maruti Udyog (0.88%), Tata Motors (0.55%) aare trading in positive while M&M (0.39%) and Bajaj Auto (0.12%) are trading in negative.

BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 69.90 points higher at 9,089.46 as RPL (7.19%), Essar Oil (3.37%), IPCL (0.50%)and HPCL (0.04) are trading higher whereas GAIL (1.18%), BPCL (0.31%) are trading in negative.

BSE Banks index advanced by 22.47 points to trade at 8,711.15 as SBI (1.02%) and PNB (0.98%) are trading in green while HDFC Bank (1.06%) and ICICI Bank (0.41%) are trading in red.

BSE Health Care index dropped 7.88 points to trade at 3,666.31 as Glenmark (1.47%), Cipla (1.18%), Ranbaxy (0.98%), Dr. Reddy (0.16%) are trading in red.

BSE IT index slipped by 72.99 points to trade at 4,317.76 as Satyam (3.08%), TCS (1.90%), Infosys (1.89%), Wipro (1.84%) and HCL Tech. (1.45%) are trading down.
