The market is trading flat and marginal gain. The BSE Mid Cap and BSE Small Cap have outperformed the benchmark index and is trading with significant gain. The Capital Goods, Bank and Realty stocks are the top losers till now, whereas the significant buying witnessed in the Oil & Gas and Power stocks. The overall market breadth remains positive, as 1859 stocks are advancing while 1008 stocks are declining on BSE.
BGR Energy got listed in the exchanges with premium of 80% at Rs 865 as against its issue price of Rs 480 and Burnpur Cement got listed at Rs 23 (nearly double) as against its issue price of Rs 12.
The BSE Mid cap is higher by 63.13 points at 10,122.07 and the BSE small Cap advanced by 155.46 points to trade at 14,064.43.
At 12.31 pm, BSE Sensex was at 20,448.69 down by 16.61 points whereas Nifty was at 6,211.80 up by 32.40 points.
BSE Power index inclined by 108.68 points to trade at 4,766.99 as Torent Power (12.10%), NTPC (4.72%), GVK Power (3.28%), Suzlon Energy (2.78%) and Tata Power (2.12%) are trading higher.
BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 311.40 points higher at 13,702.52 as Cairn India (6.66%), ONGC (5.17%), RNRL (3.91%) and RPL (2.65%) are trading in green.
BSE Metal index increased marginally by 2.37 points to trade at 20,163.22. The major gainers are Jindal Saw (1.39%), Jindal Steel (1.33%), NALCO (1.16%) and JSW Steel (0.49%).
BSE Banks index dropped by 36.39 points to trade at 11,834.10. The major losers are Federal Bank (2.12%), Kotak Bank (2.11%), ICICI Bank (1.70%) and HDFC Bank (1.06%).
BSE FMCG index decreased marginally by 6.56 points to trade at 2,390.54 as ITC (1.88%), Godrej Consumer (1.38%), Nestle (0.72%) are trading in red.
