The market has moved back from the day''s low as significant buying witnessed in the selective scrips. The BSE Sensex is now trading in green while the Nifty is still trading lower. The Bank, and Realty stocks are showing heavy demand today, while the Metal and IT stocks are still lagging behind. The BSE Mid Cap and BSE Small Cap however today have under performed the benchmark index. The overall market breadth remains positive, as 1786 stocks are advancing while 1071 stocks are declining and the 36 stocks remained unchanged on BSE.
The BSE Mid cap is higher by 33.26 points at 10,146.32 and the BSE small Cap advanced by 189.63 points to trade at 14,073.74.
At 12.31 pm, BSE Sensex was at 20,725.30 up by 38.41 points whereas Nifty was at 6,250.75 down by 23.55 points.
BSE Banks index advanced by 307.99 points to trade at 12,213.05. The top gainers are ICICI Bank (5.51%), Centurion Bank Of Punjab (5.03%), AXIX Bank (3.54%), Kotak Bank (2.15%) and Indian Overseas Bank (2.50%).
BSE Capital goods index advanced 107.71 points to 20,136.95. The main gainers are Bharat Electrical (0.55%), Alstrom Project (0.32%), Havell (0.62%) and Jyoti Structure (0.21%).
BSE FMCG index increased by 49.06 points to trade at 2,473.45 as ITC (3.03%), Nestle (3%), Glaxosmith Consumer (1.24%) and Britania (0.75%) are trading in green.
BSE Auto index increased by 20.62 points to trade at 5,708.27. Leading to its gain are Apollo Tyre (5.95%), Ashok Leyland (4.17%), Bharat Forge (1.06%), MRF (0.95%) and Hero Honda (0.54%).
BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 93.54 points higher at 14,010.58 as RNRL (5.94%), Essar Oil (2.68%), RPL (1.59%) and Cairn (0.25%) are trading in green.
BSE Metal index dropped by 124.87 points to trade at 20,172.64. The major losers are JSW Steel (2.28%), Hindalco Industries (2.02%), Sterlite Industries (1.84%)
BSE IT index dropped by 106.62 points to trade at 4,212.52 as HCL Tech (4.28%), Infosys (3.83%), TCS (2.60%) and Patni Comp (2.44%) are trading in red.
