Mid Session Market

The market is still trading with marginal gain since morning today. The frontline indices are trading cautiously. However, the Mid Cap and the Small Cap stocks are the star performer today as heavy buying witnessed in these stocks. The significant buying witnessed in the Metal, Realty, Oil & Gas and Capital Goods stocks. The overall market breadth remains extremely positive, as 2,041 stocks are advancing while 614 stocks are declining on BSE. The BSE Mid cap is higher by 143.78 points at 8,114.52 and the BSE small Cap advanced by 200.71 points to trade at 10,613.52.

At 12.32 pm, BSE Sensex was at 18,175.75 up by 36.26 points and Nifty was at 5,334.60 up by 12.05 points.

BSE Metal index surged by 151.12 points to trade at 16,340.58. The major gainers are ISPAT Industries (5.26%), JSW Steel (1.67%), Jindal Steel (1.26%) and Tata Steel (1.08%).Tata Steel has been selected by the Volkswagen and Nissan-Renault as the local partner for their projects in India.

BSE Capital goods index advanced by 67.31 points to 16,638.96. The main gainers are Punj Lloyd (2.68%), BHEL (1.18%), ABB (0.48%) and Siemens (0.38%).

BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 74.78 points higher at 11,235.61 as Essar Oil (5.37%), RNRL (4%), RPL (3.16%), HPCL (2.58%) and Indian Oil (1.62%) are trading in green.

BSE Banks index advanced by 71.60 points to trade at 10,761.61. The top gainers are Canara Bank (4.04%), Union Bank (2.45%), Kotak Bank (1.72%), PNB (1.29%) and SBI (1.28%).

BSE Power index grew by 63 points to trade at 3,943.65 as GVK Power (4.87%), Reliance Energy (4.11%), Tata Power (2.88%) and Torent Power (1.92%) are trading in green.

BSE Auto index decreased by 12.63 points to trade at 4,887.42. Leading to its fall are Hero Honda (2.50%), Bajaj Auto (1.99%), Maruti Suzuki (0.27%) and M&M (0.23%).

BSE IT index declined by 4.24 points to trade at 3,809.58 as Satyam (2.12%), TCS (0.83%), Wipro (0.88%) and HCL Tech (0.21%) are trading in red.
