Mid Session Market

The market is now off the day’s high but is still trading higher as significant buying witnessed across the board. The Bank, Consumer Durables, IT and Realty stocks are the hot performers today. The BSE Sensex is hovering around 16,000 mark and Nifty is around the 4,800 mark. The broader market is also trading significantly higher as the Mid Cap and Small Cap are trading with a gain of more than 1.7%.

The overall market breadth is positive, as 2002 stocks are advancing while 482 stocks are declining and the 41 stocks remained unchanged on BSE.

The BSE Mid cap is higher by 114.58 points at 6,509.68 and the BSE small Cap advanced by 149.34 points to trade at 8,011.10.

At 12.50 pm, BSE Sensex was at 15,995.28 up by 368.66 points and Nifty was at 4,832.30 up by 92.75 points.

BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 215.56 points higher at 10,569.28 as Gail India (2.37%), ONGC (2.28%), RPL (1.20%) and BPCL (0.24%) are trading in green.

BSE Health Care index inclined by 67.81 points to trade at 3,899.13 as Sun Pharma (4.17%), Dr. Reddy (3.61%), Divi’s Lab (2.39%), Ranbaxy Lab. (1.56%) and Pfizer (1.37%) are trading in positive.

BSE Capital goods index advanced by 191.58 points to 13,751.51. The main gainers are Praj Industries (3.51%), Punj Lloyd (3.04%), L&T (1.87%) and Siemens (1.39%).

BSE Banks index surged by 256.35 points to trade at 7,899.90. The top gainers are ICICI Bank (4.75%), PNB (2.81%), SBI (2.71%) and HDFC Bank (2.52%).

BSE Power index increased by 24.48 points to trade at 3,177.14 as Suzlon Energy (2.60%), Reliance Power (2.47%), Tata Power (1.79%) and Torent Power (1.40%) are trading in positive.

BSE IT index grew by 113.92 points to trade at 3,654.51 as Infosys Technologies (3.87%), TCS (2.88%), Wipro (2.69%) and Satyam Computer (2.26%) are trading in green.

BSE Auto index inclined by 87.03 points to trade at 4,556.63. Leading to its gain are Hero Honda (4.55%), Mahindra & Mahindra (1.69%), Tata Motors (1.45%) and Maruti Suzuki (1.35%).

BSE Metal index grew marginally by 1.87 points to trade at 13,815.63. The major gainers are Jindal Saw (5.81%), Hindalco Industries (2.60%), Gujarat NRE (2.31%) and Jindal Steel (0.87%).
