Mid Sesion Market

The market is still trading in deep red as strong selling continued in the selective scrip. The frontline indices are the mostly hitted today as significant selling in these stocks. The broader market has also given up their early gains and slipped down to trade in the negative territory. The Realty, IT, Power and Capital Goods stocks are out of favor today. However, significant buying is seen in the FMCG, Consumer Durables and Metal stocks.

The overall market breadth turns negative, as 982 stocks are advancing while 1458 stocks are declining and the 79 stocks remained unchanged on BSE.

The BSE Mid cap is lower by 23.42 points at 7,275.84 and the BSE small Cap slipped by 26.03 points to trade at 8,819.32.

At 12.30 pm, BSE Sensex was at 17,363.98 down by 126.92 points and Nifty was at 5,158.40 down by 33.85 points.

BSE Metal index surged by 111.76 points to trade at 15,998.76. The major gainers are Sterlite Industries (3.01%), Tata Steel (1.54%), SAIL (0.60%) and NALCO (0.30%).

BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 6.37 points higher at 11,705.55 as Cairn India (3.35%), ABN Offshore (1.44%), ONGC (0.87%) and Essar Oil (0.85%) are trading in green.
ONGC has approved the investment proposals worth Rs3,570.60 crore. Out of this, Rs1,804 crore is for the development of four fields in Rajasthan.

BSE IT index fell by 72.19 points to trade at 4,245.15 as Infosys Technologies (2.40%), Wipro (2.09%), Satyam Computer (1.16%) and TCS (0.99%) are trading in red.

BSE Capital goods index slipped by 86.99 points to 14,123.04. The main losers are BHEL (1.28%), ABB (0.77%), L&T (0.37%) and Siemens (0.27%).

BSE Power index declined by 34.82 points to trade at 3,353.79 as Reliance Energy (2.86%), Tata Power (2.78%) and NTPC (0.40%) are trading in negative.

BSE Health Care index decreased by 2.29 points to trade at 4,293.75 as Cipla (0.49%), Dr.Reddy (0.35%) and Ranbaxy Lab. (0.01%) are trading in negative.

BSE Realty trading down by 186.19 points at 8,555.20. Pushing it down are HDIL (3.73%), Unitech (3.63%), Omaxe (2.24%), Parsavnath (2.17%) and Penland (1.93%).

BSE Bankex index is trading lower by 5.67 points at 9,124.94. Losers are Yes Bank (3.02%), Kotak Bank (2.59%), Bank of India (2.22%), Allahabad Bank (1.78%), and Federal Bank (1.65%).

BSE Auto index slipped by 27.20 points to trade at 4,784.93 as Maruti Suzuki (1.89%), Mahindra & Mahindra (1.66%), TVS Motor (1.23%) and Tata Motors (1.17%) are trading in negative.
