Mid Session Market

The market is still trading lower as selling pressure continued across the board. The Realty, Metal and Oil & Gas stocks are feeling the most selling pressure. The Mid cap and Small Cap stocks are trading with a deep cut. The BSE Sensex is hovering around the 16,600 mark and the NSE Nifty is moving around the 4,900 mark.

The overall market breadth is negative, as 510 stocks are advancing while 1976 stocks are declining and the 39 stocks remained unchanged on BSE.

The BSE Mid cap is lower by 171.09 points at 6,821.57 while the BSE small Cap slipped by 218.28 points to trade at 8,287.36.

At 12.30 pm, BSE Sensex was at 16,609.35 down by 127.72 points and Nifty was at 4,933.75 down by 48.85 points.

BSE Bankex index is trading higher by 28.58 points at 8,540.23. Gainers are AXIX Bank (1.27%), Kotak Bank (0.52%) and PNB (0.16%).

BSE IT index grew by 6.94 points to trade at 4,242.18 as Satyam Computer (2.13%), Financial Technologies (0.16%) and HCL Technologies (0.14%) are trading in green.

BSE Capital goods index declined by 91.06 points to 13,018.30. The main losers are Siemens (3.08%), Punj Lloyd (2.70%), ABB (2.41%), L&T (1.96%).

BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 96.73 points lower at 11,531.72 as Indian Oil (5.34%), Essar Oil (5.15%), BPCL (3.96%) and HPCL (3.14%) are trading in red.

BSE Metal index slipped by 177.98 points to trade at 15,432.71. The major losers are Gujarat NRE (5.28%), ISPAT Industries (4.39%), SAIL (3.54%) and Jindal Saw (3.34%).

BSE Power index declined by 14.85 points to trade at 3,184.21 as GVK Power (4.58%), Torent Power (4.79%), Reliance Energy (2.48%) and Suzlon Energy (1.26%) are trading in negative.

BSE Health Care index decreased by 13.55 points to trade at 4,139.42 as Divi’s Lab (3.35%), Biocon (2.33%), Sun Pharma (2.32%) and Glenmark Pharma (0.48%) are trading in negative.

BSE Auto index slipped by 37.77 points to trade at 4,686.10 as TVS Motors (4.52%), Mahindra & Mahindra (1.81%), Hero Honda (1.22%) and Ashok Leyland (0.89%) are trading in negative.
