The market is now off the day’s low but is still trading lower. The selling pressure is seen in the IT< Auto Metal and Realty stocks. The broader market is however trading flat as the BSE Mid Cap is trading lower while the BSE Mid Cap is trading marginally higher. The BSE Sensex is hovering around the 15900 mark and the NSE Nifty is trading around the 4700 mark
The overall market breadth remains negative, as 1167 stocks are advancing while 1190 stocks are declining and the 80 stocks remained unchanged on BSE.
The BSE Mid cap is lower by 4.32 points at 6,542.98 while the BSE small Cap advanced by 13.80 points to trade at 7,869.09.
At 12.30 pm, BSE Sensex was at 15,892.95 down by 69.61 points and Nifty was at 4,713.10 down by 2.80 points.
BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 90.42 points lower at 10,322.07 as Cairn India (2.80%), Essar Oil (1.69%), Gail India (1.44%) and HPCL (1.05%) are trading in red.
BSE Capital goods index dropped by 205.53 points to 12,315.72. The main losers are BHEL (2.80%), ABB (1.75%), L&T (1.34%) and Siemens (0.21%).
BSE IT index declined by 68.64 points to trade at 4,443.45 as Satyam Computer (2.54%), Wipro (1.43%), Infosys Technologies (1.36%) and TCS (0.64%) are trading in red.
BSE Bankex index is trading lower by 6.84 points at 7,390.41. Losers are Indian HDFC Bank (1.91%), Allahabad Bank (1.60%), Andhra Bank (1.27%) and Bank of India (0.43%).
BSE Realty decreased by 118.12 points to 6,608.13. Leading to its fall are India Bull Real (2.70%), HDIL (1.91%), DLF (1.67%) and Omaxe Ltd. (0.99%).
BSE Auto fell by 70.63 points to 4,299.42. Leading to its fall are Marutu Suzuki (3.36%), Tata Motors (3.03%), Hero Honda (1.37%), TVS Motor (0.96%) and Mahindra & Mahindra (0.83%).
BSE Metal index slipped by 283.90 points to trade at 15,948.18. The major losers are Sterlite Industries (4.09%), NALCO (3.69%), Hindalco Industries (0.81%).
