The market has smart recovery from the day’s low and is trading higher now. The IT, Pharma, FMCG and Metal stocks are facing the buying momentum. However, the Realty, Consumer Durable, Bank and Auto stocks are still trading lower. The broader market is however trading in negative. The BSE Sensex is trading below the 15600 mark and the NSE Nifty is trading around the 4600 mark
The overall market breadth remains negative, as 956 stocks are advancing while 1451 stocks are declining and the 69 stocks remained unchanged on BSE.
The BSE Mid cap is lower by 48.80 points at 6,348.57 and the BSE small Cap dropped by 24.62 points to trade at 7,695.64.
At 12.30 pm, BSE Sensex was at 15,530.86 up by 16.07 points and Nifty was at 4,602.90 up by 17.30 points.
BSE IT index inclined by 126.53 points to trade at 4,523.88 as Satyam Computer (4.15%), Infosys Technologies (3.45%), HCL Technologies (3.05%) and TCS (2.03%) are trading in green.
BSE Metal index advanced by 49.83 points to trade at 15,472.98. The major gainers are NALCO (2.12%), Tata Steel (1.11%), SAIL (0.32%) and Sterlite Industries (0.15%).
BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 25.73 points lower at 10,033.78 as ONGC (8.03%), Gail India (4.28%), and RPL (1.25%) are trading in red.
BSE Capital goods index dropped by 59.58 points to 12,056.24. The main losers are SKF India (2.69%), L&T (1.75%), BHEL (1.38%) and ABB (0.25%).
BSE Bankex index is trading lower by 54.18 points at 7,156.19. Losers are Bank of India (2.80%), HDFC Bank (1.89%), PNB (1.40%) and Yes Bank (1.25%).
BSE Realty decreased by 156.69 points to 6,232.51. Leading to its fall are India Bull Real (5.11%), DLF (2.96%), Unitech (1.45%) and Purvankara (1.18%).
BSE Auto fell by 23.24 points to 4,202.35. Leading to its fall are Ashok Leyland (2.71%), Tata Motors (2.62%), Mahindra & Mahindra (1.49%) and Hero Honda (0.42%).
