The market is trading lower and as selling pressure continued across the board. The Bank, Power, IT and Auto stocks are facing the most selling pressure. The BSE Mid Cap and Small Cap stocks are also trading in red. The BSE Sensex is trading above the 13700 mark and the NSE Nifty above the 4100 mark.
The overall market breadth is negative 1077 stocks are advancing while 1279 stocks are declining and the 72 stocks remained unchanged on BSE.
The BSE Mid cap is lower by 33.27 points at 5,437.41 and the BSE small Cap is down by 18.77 points to trade at 6,771.11.
At 12.30 pm, BSE Sensex was at 13,796.77 down by 167.49 points and Nifty was at 4,119.45 down by 37.65 points.
BSE Capital goods index declined by 95.81 points to 11,268.95. The main losers are Praj Industries (3.68%), Punj Lloyd (3.18%), ABB (2.65%) and BEML (2.45%).
BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 67.74 points lower at 9,065.36 as RNRL (2.08%), Essar Oil (1.78%), Gail India (0.96%) and HPCL (0.36%) are trading in negative.
BSE Bankex index is trading lower by 137.42 points at 6,046.11. Losers are AXIX Bank (4.46%), ICICI Bank (3.68%), Bank of India (2.65%), Kotak Bank (3.08%).
BSE Metal index increased by 38.98 points at 12,681.60 as Gujarat NRE (3.58%), Hind Zinc (2.29%), Tata Steel (2.10%), SAIL (1.70%), Ispat Inds (1.33%) and Sesa Goa (0.84%) trading in green.
