Mid Day Market Comentary

There is a lot of volatility striking the movement of the market and is trading within a range bound. The market is trading higher on the back of heavy buying across the board mostly led by metal stocks. Overall market breadth is positive as 1702 stocks advanced while 895 stocks declined and 73 stocks remained unchanged on BSE.

At 12.33 pm BSE sensex was at 13956.59 up by 59.18 points and Nifty was at 4097.00 up by 13.45 points. BSE Mid cap also inclined by 31.10 points to trade at 5730.18 and BSE small cap by 33.64 points to trade at 7008.01.

BSE Metal index increased 153.25 points to 9855.53 as Tata Steel (2.94%) SAIL (1.19%) Hindalco (0.75%) and NALCO (0.35%) are trading higher.

BSE capital goods index inclined 42.48 points to trade at 9840.38 as BHEL (2.25%) Siemens (1.54%)L&T (1.43%) and ABB (0.5%) are trading higher.

BSE Oil & gas index was trading 14.75 points up at 7066.83 as ONGC inclined by 1.28% BPCL (0.77%) RPL (0.32%), HPCL (0.17%) and IPCL (0.16%) trading in green.

BSE IT index grew 27.59 points to trade at 5082.68 as Satyam (1.08%) Infosys (0.69%) and Wipro (0.64%) are trading in green while HCL (1.57%) and TCS (0.04%) are trading in red.

BSE auto index rose 24.18 points to trade at 4855.52 as Hero Honda grew by 1.04% followed by Bajaj auto (0.43%) Maruti Udyog (0.37%) and Tata motors (0.3%) are trading in green.

BSE Banks index declined 16.44 points to trade at 6897.93; HDFC Bank (0.6%) SBI (0.58%) and ICICI Bank (0.12%) are trading in negative territory whereas PNB (0.7%) is trading in positive.

BSE Health Care index declined by 45.36 points to trade at 3747.63 as Sun Pharma down by (9.93%) followed by Cipla (0.57%) whereas GSK and Dr. Reddy advanced 0.44% and 0.13% respectively.

BSE FMCG index fell 17.78 points to trade at 1793.93 as ITC declined by 2.74% while HLL and Dabur grew by 0.41% and 0.26% respectively.
