Market is trading higher on the back of heavy buying pressures on the selective scrips. Overall market breadth was strong as 1453 stocks advanced while 860 stocks declined and 70 stocks remained unchanged on BSE.
At 12.22 pm, BSE sensex was at 13716.73 up by 109.69 points and Nifty was at 4023.80 up by 38.85 points. BSE Mid cap also inclined by 60.19 points to trade at 5681.44 and BSE small cap by 65.64 points to trade at 6928.17.
BSE Banks index inclined 103.85 points to trade at 6842.35; PNB (2.92%), ICICI Bank (1.4%), SBI (1.21%) and HDFC Bank (0.92%) are all trading in positive territory.
BSE capital goods index inclined 78.67 points to trade at 9767.49 as BHEL (1.68%), L&T (0.8%) and ABB (0.71%) are trading higher while Siemens (0.63%) is lower.
BSE Health Care index inclined by 64.59 points to trade at 3769.51 as Ranbaxy (2.18%), Dr. Reddy (0.36%) and Sun pharma (0.35%) were trading higher.
BSE Oil & gas index was trading 48.64 points up at 6874.94 as Reliance petroleum surged by 1.32% along with ONGC 0.94% and IPCL 0.92% whereas BPCL trading down by 1.7% followed by HPCL 1.24%.
BSE IT index grew 13.31 points to trade at 5035.94 as HCL (5.78%), Wipro (1.4%), Satyam (1.11%); TCS (0.79%) are trading in green whereas Infosys (0.67%) is trading in red.
BSE auto index rose 23.92 points to trade at 4889.19 as Maruti (0.59%), M&M (0.49%), Tata Motors (0.38%) are trading in green whereas Bajaj auto (0.22%) is trading in red.
BSE FMCG index grew 15.55 points to trade at 1816.04 as Dabur up by 1.97% followed by ITC and HLL inclined by 1.03% and 0.73% respectively.
BSE Metal index increased 5.68 points to 9442.99 as Hindalco (2.02%), SAIL (1.78%) and NALCO (1.62%) are trading higher while Tata Steel (4.13%) is trading lower.
