Pre Open Market Commentary

Indian market is likely to have a flat opening, as the market is likely to consolidate its gain. On Monday, the Indian markets ended in a positive note, as BSE Sensex closed at 13,177.74 up by 321.66 points and Nifty gained 91.5 points to close at 3,843.50. We expect the market to be cautious during the day.

Monday, the US markets closed in green. The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJI) closed higher by 8.94 points at 12,569.14. The S&P 500 (SPX) index grew 0.85 points to close at 1444.61, where as the NASDAQ Composite (RIXF) down by 2.16 points to close at 2469.18.

Indian ADRs ended mixed. In technology sector, Patni and Wipro up by 3.23% and 3.17% respectively while Infosys closed up by 1.41%. In banking sector, ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank grew by 0.73% and 0.81% respectively. MTNL and VSNL grew by 2.92% and 2.19% respectively.

The major stock market in Asia is trading mixed. The Nikkei 225 is trading at 17,640.66 tumbled by 103.10 points whereas Hang Seng advanced by 188.79 points to trade at 20,398.50. Straits Times trading in green at 3,387.93. Taiex declined by 32.83 points to trade at 8,023.73.

Today, Nifty has support at 3,730 and resistance at 3,925 and BSE Sensex has support at 12,850 and resistance at 13,300.
