The market continues to trade in red. Even the BSE mid cap and BSE small cap sustains selling pressure that led the overall market breadth to be weak. The BSE mid cap and small cap are trading lower by 4.47 points and 32.87 points respectively.
At 12.30 pm, BSE sensex was at 13694.28 down by 71.18 points and Nifty was at 4056.10 down by 20.9 points. About 867 stocks advanced while 1392 stocks declined and 125 stocks remained unchanged on BSE.
BSE FMCG index inclined 4.48 points to trade at 1810.63 as ITC (0.81%) is trading in green while Dabur (0.42%) and HLL (0.28%) are trading in red.
BSE Oil & gas index was trading 60.95 points down at 7188.39 as GAIL (3.29%), ONGC (0.83%), IPCL (0.76%) are trading lower while BPCL (0.61%) is trading higher.
BSE IT index fell 59.38 points to trade at 4873.51 as TCS (2.56%), Infosys (1.11%), Satyam (0.93%), HCL (0.81%) and Wipro (0.43%) are trading in red.
BSE Metal index dropped 58.11 points to trade at 9874.43 as Hindalco (1.24%) and SAIL (0.48%) are trading lower while Tata Steel (0.33%) and NALCO (0.12%) are trading higher.
BSE capital goods index slipped 49.74 points to trade at 9849.98 as BHEL (1.1%), L&T (0.59%) and ABB (0.56%) are trading in red whereas Siemens (0.9%) is trading in green.
BSE Banks index declined 42.83 points to trade at 6709.81 as HDFC (0.73%), ICICI Bank (0.6%), PNB (0.53%) and SBI (0.5%)are trading lower.
BSE Auto index dropped 15.12 points to trade at 4964.94 as Bajaj Auto (1.67%), M&M (1.07%) are trading in negative whereas Hero Honda (1.61%) and Maruti (0.86%) are trading in positive.
BSE Health Care index slipped 42.83 points to trade at 6709.81 as Ranbaxy (0.82%) and Dr. Reddy (0.7%) are trading lower while GSK (0.96%) and Sun Pharma (0.6%) are trading higher
