The market continued to trade at higher level. All the sectorial indices are trading in green as buying emerged across the board. The overall market breadth was strong. The BSE mid cap and small cap are trading higher by 88.94 points and 101.07 points to 5881.09 and 7019.67 respectively.
At 12.30 pm, BSE sensex was at 13951.27 up by 169.76 points and Nifty was at 4126.55 up by 47.25 points. About 1608 stocks advanced while 691stocks declined and 87 stocks remained unchanged on BSE.
BSE Metal index advanced 225.43 points to trade at 10192.32 as Tata Steel (3.09%), Hindalco (2.42%) and SAIL (2.17%) are trading higher.
BSE Banks index grew 84.72 points to trade at 6936.07 as SBI (2.3%), HDFC Bank (2.04%), ICICI Bank (0.88%) and PNB (0.81%)are trading higher.
BSE Capital goods index inclined 61.39 points to trade at 10006.68 as Siemens (1.03%), BHEL (0.85%), ABB (0.42%) and L&T (0.22%) are trading in green.
BSE Auto index inclined 49.87 points to trade at 5056.93 as Bajaj Auto (3.54%), Maruti (0.85%) and Hero Honda (0.49%) are trading in positive whereas M&M (0.63%) is trading in negative.
BSE IT index grew 46.19 points to trade at 4933.81 as Wipro (2.42%), Satyam (1.7%), HCL (1.13%), Infosys (0.46%) and TCS (0.44%) are trading in green.
BSE FMCG index inclined 36.42 points to trade at 1840.42 as ITC (3.33%), HLL (0.99%) and Dabur (0.27%) are trading in green.
BSE Oil & gas index was trading 37.81 points up at 7268.50 as ONGC (1.39%), GAIL (1.23%), RPL (1.19%), BPCL (1%) and HPCL (0.49%) are trading higher.
BSE Health Care index advanced 30.75 points to trade at 3731.31 as GSK (2.5%), Dr. Reddy (0.79%), Cipla (0.48%) and Sun Pharma (0.15%) are trading higher
