Mid Day Market Commentary

The market is trading in negative territory as selling is seen in the selective scrips. The overall market breadth is negative as 1031 stocks are advancing while 1321 stocks are declining on BSE.

At 12.30 pm, BSE sensex was at 14404.03 down by 14.57 points and Nifty was at 4259.65 down by 1.25 points. The BSE mid cap and small cap are trading higher by 19.75 points and 0.81 points to 6149.44 and 7294.96 respectively.

BSE Metal index advanced 85.09 points to trade at 10579.56 as Tata Steel (1.53%), SAIL (1.28%) and NALCO (0.39%) are trading higher whereas Hindalco (0.51%) is trading lower.

BSE Auto index grew 28.39 points to trade at 4915.23 as Maruti Udyog (2.05%), Tata Motors (0.9%) and M&M (0.79%) are trading positive while Bajaj (2.6%) and Hero Honda (0.2%) are trading in negative.

BSE Banks index inclined 0.99 points to trade at 7681.70 as HDFC Bank (1.22%) is trading higher while SBI (1.77%), PNB (1.3%) and ICICI Bank (0.8%) are trading lower.BSE Capital goods index was trading 9.78 points up at 10206.79 as BHEL (0.97%) is trading in green while L&T (0.24%) and ABB (0.23%) are trading in red.

BSE Health Care index inclined 16.54 points to trade at 3777.55 as Sun Pharma (1.88%), Dr. Reddy (0.67%) and Ranbaxy (0.50%) are trading positive whereas GSK (0.64%) is trading negative.

BSE Oil & gas index was trading 18.57 points down at 7816.11 as BPCL (1.84%), HPCL (1.43%), ONGC (0.39%) and RPL (0.16%) are trading in red.

BSE FMCG index declined 4.98 points to trade at 1905.76 as ITC (0.79%) and Dabur (0.78%) are trading in red whereas HLL (0.96%) is trading in green.

BSE IT index slipped 1.08 points to trade at 4866.24 as HCL (1.23%), Infosys (1.12%) and TCS (0.29%) are trading in red while Wipro (0.43%) is trading in green.
