Mid Day Market Commentary

The market is trading flat. The overall market breadth is positive as 1225 stocks are advancing while 1058 stocks are declining on BSE and 91 stocks remained unchanged on BSE.

At 12.30 pm, BSE sensex was at 14,170.95 down by 47.16 points and Nifty was at 4,189 down by 15.9 points. The BSE mid cap is trading higher by 19.70 points to 6,120.17 and small cap advanced by 42.66 points to 7,244.41.

BSE Capital goods index surged 130.45 points to 10383.43 as L&T (1.24%) ABB (0.65%) and Siemens (0.15%) are trading in green.

BSE IT index inclined 29.86 points to trade at 4868.50 as HCL (1.25%), Wipro (0.56%), Satyam (0.31%) and Infosys (0.21%) are trading in green.

BSE FMCG index advanced 10.70 points to trade at 1912.66 as HLL (1.44%) is trading in green whereas Dabur (1.02%) and ITC (0.39%) are trading in red.

BSE Health Care index inclined 9.39 points to trade at 3748.05 as GSK (0.91%) and Ranbaxy (0.31%) are trading in positive while Cipla (1.35%), Sun Pharma (0.68%) and Dr. Reddy (0.28%) are trading in negative.

BSE Banks index declined 17.09 points to trade at 7462.20 as HDFC Bank (1.55%), PNB Bank (0.58%) and SBI (0.35%) are trading lower.

BSE Metal index slipped 11.04 points to trade at 10451.24 as Tata Steel (1.16%), SAIL (0.51%) and Hindalco (0.14%) are trading lower.

BSE Oil & gas index was trading 1.26 points down at 7654.07 as BPCL (2.13%), HPCL (1.91%), RPL (0.42%) and IPCL (0.23%) are trading in red while GAIL (0.6%) is trading in green.
