Mid Day Market Commentary

The market is trading firm at higher levels. All the sectorial indices are trading in green as the buying continued for index pivotal. The overall market breadth is positive as 1640 stocks are advancing while 576 stocks are declining and 73 stocks remained unchanged on BSE.

At 12.30 pm, BSE sensex was at 14,190.39 up by 187.36 points and Nifty was at 4,166.95 up by 53.9 points. The BSE mid cap is higher by 90.73 points at 6,156.36 and small cap advanced by 105.23 points to 7,329.50.

BSE Metal index advanced 169.26 points to trade at 10,444.53 as SAIL (2.66%), Tata Steel (1.08%), Hindalco (0.69%) and NALCO (0.31%) are trading in positive.

BSE Capital goods index surged 153.28 points to 10,877.66 as Siemens (2.65%), BHEL (2.29%), ABB (1.64%0 and L&T (1.42%) are trading in green.

BSE Banks index is trading higher 63.41 points to trade at 7,432.10 as SBI (2.06%), HDFC Bank (1.70%) and PNB (1.08%) are trading higher while ICICI Bank (0.47%) is trading lower.

BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 61.33 points up at 7,458.69 as RPL (1.53%), IPCL (1.03%), GAIL (0.86%), ONGC (0.78%) and HPCL (0.24%) are trading higher.

BSE IT index inclined 56.48 points to trade at 5,023.35 as Infosys (1.22%), Wipro (0.90%), Satyam (0.42%), TCS (0.32%) and HCL (0.13%) are trading in positive.

BSE Auto index inclined 38.10 points to trade at 4,666.64 as M&M (1.98%), Maruti Udyog (0.83%), Tata Motors (0.20%) and Bajaj Auto (0.07%) are trading in positive.

BSE Health Care index grew 33.11 points to trade at 3,781.49 as Dr. Reddy (1.32%), Ranbaxy (0.99%) and Cipla (0.77%) are trading in positive while GSK (0.74%) and Sun Pharma (0.25%) are trading in negative.

BSE FMCG index inclined 17.57 points to trade at 1,790.37 as HLL (1.04%), ITC (0.69%) and Dabur (0.15%) are trading in green.
