Mid Day Market commentary

The market has maintained its opening gains and is trading stable at higher levels as the buying continued for index pivotal. The overall market breadth is strong as 1456 stocks are advancing while 777 stocks are declining and 69 stocks remained unchanged on BSE.

At 12.30 pm, BSE sensex was at 14,282.68 up by 78.96 points and Nifty was at 4,203.55 up by 33.55 points. The BSE mid cap is higher by 58.64 points at 6,220.25 and small cap advanced by 79.39 points to 7,400.30.

BSE Capital goods index surged 183.41 points to 11,155.43 as BHEL (2.40%), ABB (1.58%) and L&T (1.31%) are trading in green while Siemens (0.08%) is trading in red.

BSE Banks index is trading higher 112.46 points to trade at 7,530.12 as HDFC Bank (1.88%), SBI (1.86%), ICICI Bank (1.56%) and PNB (0.75%) are trading higher.

BSE Metal index advanced 49.85 points to trade at 10,617.39 as SAIL (1.61%) and NALCO (0.04%) are trading in positive while Tata Steel (0.39%) and Hindalco (0.30%) are trading in negative.

BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 33.68 points up at 7,526.30 as GAIL (1.09%), RPL (0.93%), ONGC (0.92%), IPCL (0.91%) are trading higher while HPCL (0.63%) and BPCL (0.63%) are trading lower.

BSE Auto index inclined 32.99 points to trade at 4,700.34 as Maruti (1.69%), M&M (1.27%), Tata Motors (1.17%) and Bajaj Auto (0.86%) are trading in positive.

BSE Health Care index grew 27.94 points to trade at 3,821.37 as Ranbaxy (2.32%), GSK (1.98%) and Cipla (0.84%) are trading in positive while Dr. Reddy (0.64%) is trading in negative.

BSE FMCG index inclined 14.44 points to trade at 1,795.11 as HLL (0.91%) and ITC (0.59%) are trading in green while Dabur (1.86%) is trading in red.

BSE IT index inclined 11.26 points to trade at 5,045.02 as Infosys (0.39%) and Wipro (0.23%) are trading in positive while TCS (0.73%), Satyam (0.38%) and HCL (0.15%) are trading in negative.
