Mid Day market commentary

The market is trading flat with positive bias as some buying is seen at the lower level. The overall market breadth is positive as 1171 stocks are advancing while 1090 stocks are declining and 71 stocks remained unchanged on BSE.

At 12.30 pm, BSE sensex was at 14,195.67 up by 32.96 points and Nifty was at 4,179.65 up by 8.2 points. The BSE mid cap is higher by 14.13 points at 6,195.05 and small cap advanced by 23.94 points to 7,374.19.

BSE Banks index is trading higher 48.46 points to trade at 7,510.05 as ICICI Bank (0.92%), HDFC Bank (0.31%) and SBI (0.18%) are trading higher.

BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 2.61 points up at 7,460.10 as GAIL (0.76%), IPCL (0.33%), and ONGC (0.11%) are trading higher while HPCL (2.54%), RPL (0.99%) and BPCL (0.09%) are trading lower.

BSE Health Care index grew 2.17 points to trade at 3,797.37 as SunPharma (0.22%) and Cipla (0.07%) are trading in positive while GSK (1.05%), Ranbaxy (0.62%) and dr. Reddy (0.23%) are trading in negative.

BSE FMCG index inclined 1.44 points to trade at 1,790.17 as Dabur (0.25%), HLL (0.24%) and ITC (0.23%) are trading in green.

BSE IT index declined 46.05 points to trade at 4,950.07 as HCL (1.51%), TCS (1.34%), Infosys (1.06%), Wipro (1.04%) and Satyam (0.99%) are trading in negative.

BSE Auto index declined 19.60 points to trade at 4,655.20 as Hero Honda (3.02%), M&M (0.48%), Bajaj auto (0.45%), Tata Motors (0.37%) and Maruti Udyog (0.16%) are trading in negative.

BSE Capital goods index slipped 8.77 points to 11,148.01 as L&T (0.47%) and BHEL (0.04%) are trading in red while ABB (1.69%) and Siemens (0.55%) are trading in green.

BSE Metal index dropped 7.54 points to trade at 10,488.44 as SAIL (0.96%), NALCO (0.67%) and Tata Steel (0.45%) are trading in negative while Hindalco (0.71%) is trading in positive.
