Mid Day Market commentary

The market is trading in the positive territory as buying in the index pivotal continued at higher level. The overall market breadth is positive as 1502 stocks are advancing while 814 stocks are declining and 85 stocks remained unchanged on BSE.

At 12.30 pm, BSE sensex was at 14,440.97 up by 145.47 points and Nifty was at 4,255 up by 40.7 points. The BSE mid cap is higher by 71.94 points at 6,315.98 and small cap advanced by 72.61 points to 7,430.36.

BSE Capital goods index surged 136.26 points to 11,494.32 as BHEL (2.41%), ABB (1.29%), L&T (1.03%) and Siemens (0.29%) are trading in green.

BSE Metal index grew 126.49 points to trade at 10,738.08 as Hindalco (1.39%), SAIL (0.92%), NALCO (0.56%) and Tata steel (0.38%) are trading in positive.

BSE Banks index is trading higher 92.71 points to trade at 7,774.22 as PNB (2.02%), SBI (1.44%) and ICICI Bank (1.04%) are trading in positive.

BSE Auto index inclined 59.07 points to trade at 4,756.54 as Tata Motors (2.34%), M&M (2.08%), Maruti Udyog (1.75%), Hero Honda (1.13%) and Bajaj Auto (0.92%) are trading in green.

BSE IT index advanced 34.30 points to trade at 4,917.89 as HCL (1.79%), Satyam (1.45%), Wipro (0.76%) and Infosys (0.68%) are trading higher.

BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 16.55 points up at 7,662.14 as IPCL (0.75%) and HPCL (0.17%) are trading higher while GAIL (0.89%), ONGC (0.78%) and BPCL (0.20%) are trading lower.

BSE Health Care index grew 14.76 points to trade at 3,795.98 as Cipla (0.96%), Dr. Reddy (0.52%) and Sun Pharma (0.37%) are trading in positive.

BSE FMCG index inclined 4.84 points to trade at 1,807.53 as ITC (0.52%) is trading in green while Dabur (1.02%) and HLL (0.13%) are trading in red.
