Mid Day market Commentary

The market is now trading in the positive territory as some buying continued in the selective index pivotal. The overall market breadth is positive as 1468 stocks are advancing while 896 stocks are declining on BSE.

At 12.31 pm, BSE sensex was at 14,526 up by 38 points while Nifty was at 4,275.80 up by 16.4 points. The BSE mid cap is higher by 42 points at 6,426 and small cap advanced by 63 points to 7,627.

BSE IT index advanced 37 points to trade at 4,849 as HCL Tech. (1.54%), Satyam (1.54%) and Infosys (0.15%) are trading higher.

BSE Capital goods index inclined 33 points to 11,863 as ABB (1.51%), Siemens (0.96%) are trading in green while L&T (1.10%) and BHEL (0.28%) are trading in red.

BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 28 points up at 7,642 as HPCL (0.38%) is trading higher while BPCL (1.75%), GAIL (0.33%), IPCL (0.29%) and ONGC (0.22%) are trading lower.

BSE Auto index inclined 16 points to trade at 4,782 as Tata Motors (0.74%), M&M (0.40%), Maruti Udyog (0.40%) and Hero Honda (0.30%) are trading in green.

BSE FMCG index grew 9 points to trade at 1,813 as ITC (0.65%) and HLL (0.53%) are trading in green where Dabur (0.95%) is trading in red.

BSE Health Care index grew 7 points to trade at 3,801 as Cipla (1.47%) is trading in positive whereas Ranbaxy (0.84%), GSK (0.79%) and Sun Pharma (0.29%) are trading in negative.

BSE Banks index is trading lower 8 points to trade at 7,823 as ICICI Bank (0.84%) is trading in negative whereas PNB (1.17%), HDFC Bank 90.64%) and SBI (0.62%) are trading in positive.
