Pre Open Market Commentary

Indian market is likely to have a flat opening, as the Asian market is trading mixed and US market closed marginally higher. On Monday, the Indian markets closed in negative, as BSE Sensex closed lower by 74.98 points at 14,495.77 while Nifty fell by 30 points to close at 4,267.05. We expect the market to remain choppy during the day.

Monday, the US markets closed in green. The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJI) closed marginally up by 8.21 points at 13,676.32. The S&P 500 (SPX) index closed bit higher by 2.84 points at 1,539.18 while the NASDAQ Composite (RIXF) closed in positive at 2,618.29 up by 4.37 points.

Indian ADRs ended mixed. In technology sector, Wipro declined by (2.08%) along with Infosys by (1.67%), Satyam by (1.22%) and Patni computers by (0.93%). In banking sector, ICICI bank fell by (0.16%) while HDFC bank rose by (0.65%). MTNL dropped by (1.11%) while VSNL grew by (2.12%). In automobile sector, Tata Motors closed lower by (2.77%). In health care sector, Dr Reddy''s lab closed higher by (0.50%).

The major stock markets in Asia are trading mixed. The Nikkei 225 is trading up by 90.57 points at 18,063.99. Hang Seng trading higher by 66.44 points to close at 20,796.03. Straits Times trading flat. Taiex trading marginally up by 1.68 points at 8,296.47.

Today, Nifty has support at 4,210 and resistance at 4,295 and BSE Sensex has support at 14,350 and resistance at 14,620.
