The market is trading in positive since morning today. All the indices are trading in green. The sustained buying is seen across the board. The overall market breadth is positive as 1463 stocks are advancing while 979 stocks are declining and 85 stocks remains unchanged on BSE.
At 12.31 pm, BSE sensex was at 14,780 up by 116 points while Nifty was at 4,350.80 up by 37.05 points. The BSE mid cap is higher by 50 points at 6,641 and small cap advanced by 50 points to 7,833.
BSE Metal index improved 147.23 points to trade at 10,707.55 as SAIL (2.34%), Tata Steel (1.52%) and Hindalco Industries (1.247%) are trading in positive while NALCO (0.38%) is trading in negative.
BSE Capital goods index surged 146.09 points to 12,575.24 as L&T (2.01%), ABB (1.08%), Siemens (0.86%) and BHEL (0.65%) are trading in green.
BSE Banks index is trading up by 141.32 points to trade at 8,131.80 as SBI (2.74%), ICICI Bank (1.79%), PNB (1.70%) and HDFC Bank (0.26%) are trading in positive.
BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 55.14 points up at 7,652.44 as IPCL (0.59%), ONGC (0.45%), HPCL (0.37%) and GAIL (0.32%) are trading in green.
BSE Health Care index grew 30.90 points to trade at 3,880.49 as Cipla (2.86%), Ranbaxy (0.82%), Dr. Reddy (0.76%) and GSK (0.48%) are trading in positive.
BSE Auto index increased 24.11 points to trade at 4,815.17 as Maruti Udyog (1.69%), Tata Motors (1.61%) and M&M (0.68%) are trading in green while Bajaj Auto (0.28%) and Hero Honda (0.14%) are trading in red.
BSE FMCG index grew 16.85 points to trade at 1,840.85 as ITC (1.3%), Dabur (0.98%) and HLL (1.59%) are trading in positive.
BSE IT index improved marginally 8.18 points to trade at 4,875.45 as Satyam (0.43%), Wipro (0.39%) and HCL Tech. (0.07%) are trading in green while Infosys (0.26%) is trading in red.
