Mid Day Market Commentary

Market is trading on negative territory. Overall market breadth was negative as 1747 stocks declined and 646 stocks advanced on BSE.

At 12.43 pm, BSE sensex was trading lower by 83.69 points at 14,796.55 and Nifty was trading down at 4,333.90 down by 25.4 points. BSE Mid cap was down by 84.68 points to trade at 6,560.97 and BSE small cap was down by 117.56 points to trade at 7,738.10.

BSE capital goods index declined by 30.19 points to trade at 12,542.44 as ABB (2.14%), BHEL (0.58%) and Siemens (0.28%) are trading lower.

BSE IT index dropped by 40.38 points to trade at 4,801.26 as HCL tech (1.2%), Satyam (1.06%) and Infosys (0.62%) are trading in red.

BSE auto index was marginally up by 3.52 points to trade at 4,841.17 as Maruti Udyog (1.01%), M&M (0.93%) and Tata motors (0.29%) are trading higher.

BSE Banks index down by 78.37 points to trade at 8,080.61 as HDFC (1.61%), SBI (1.53%), HDFC bank (1.22%), ICICI bank (0.71%) and PNB (0.19%) are trading in negative.

BSE Oil & gas index is trading lower by 94.09 points at 7,540.62 as IPCL (1.75%), Reliance industries (1.75%) and BPCL (1.18%) are trading in red.

BSE FMCG index is trading lower by 11.17 points to trade at 1,851.44 as ITC (0.98%) and Dabur (0.68%) are trading lower.

BSE Metal index dropped by 89.28 points to trade at 10,695.77 as Sterlite industries (1.66%), Hindalco industries (1.27%) and Nalco (0.38%) are trading in negative.

BSE Health Care index declined by 46.58 points to trade at 3,817.44 as Ranbaxy labs (1.9%), Glaxosmithkline (0.79%), Dr Reddy (0.6%), Sun pharma (0.49%) and Cipla (0.46%) are trading lower.
