Mid Day Market Commentary

The market is trading in positive as the sustained buying is seen in the selective scrips in the board. The overall market breadth is positive as 1652 stocks are advancing while 748 stocks are declining and 66 stocks remains unchanged on BSE.

At 12.31 pm, BSE sensex was at 14,925.21 up by 63.32 points while Nifty was at 4,373.05 up by 19.1 points. The BSE mid cap is higher by 55.13 points at 6,660.98 and small cap advanced by 148.13 points to 7,944.15.

BSE Capital goods index surged 154.10 points to 12,773.04 as L&T (2.15%) and BHEL (0.13%) are trading in green while Siemens (0.35%) and ABB (0.09%) are trading in red.

BSE Metal index improved 89.49 points to trade at 10,906.13 as Hindalco (1.29%) and Tata Steel (0.64%) are trading in positive while NALCO (1.51%) is trading in negative.

BSE IT index improved 59.97 points to trade at 4,851.96 as Satyam (1.29%), Wipro (1.19%) and Infosys (1.15%) are trading in green.

BSE Auto index increased 23.79 points to trade at 4,905.73 as Hero Honda (0.89%), M&M (1.43%), Bajaj Auto (0.72%) and Tata Motors (0.56%) are trading in green.

BSE Health Care index grew 14.31 points to trade at 3,852.85 as Ranbaxy (0.83%), Cipla (0.46%), Dr. Reddy (0.45%) and Sun Pharma (0.40%) are trading in positive.

BSE FMCG index grew 9.91 points to trade at 1,864.71 as Dabur (0.98%), ITC (0.64%) and HLL (0.50%) are trading in positive.

BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 6.89 points up at 7,623.88 as IPCL (0.29%) and BPCL (0.28%) are trading in green whereas ONGC (0.45%), HPCL (0.37%) and GAIL (0.32%) are trading in red.

BSE Banks index is trading down by 78.41 points to trade at 8,109.60 as ICICI Bank (2.39%), PNB (0.57%) and SBI (0.52%) are trading in positive.
