Mid Day Market Commentary

The market is trading firm as the sustained buying is seen in the selective scrips in the board. The overall market breadth is positive as 1668 stocks are advancing while 831 stocks are declining and 57 stocks remains unchanged on BSE.

At 12.31 pm, BSE sensex was at 15,061.82 up by 97.70 points while Nifty was at 4,418 up by 33 points. The BSE mid cap is higher by 53.23 points at 6,674.08 and small cap advanced by 123.71 points to 8,027.82.

BSE Capital goods index surged 158.10 points to 12,934.78 as BHEL (2.32%), L&T (2.11%) and ABB (0.09%) are trading in green.

BSE Metal index improved 73.39 points to trade at 10,848.41 as SAIL (0.76%), Hindalco (0.65%) and NALCO (0.38%) are trading in positive.

BSE IT index improved 64.27 points to trade at 5,014.80 as Infosys (1.72%), Satyam (1.02%), Wipro (0.77%) and HCL Tech. (0.59%) are trading in green.

BSE Health Care index grew 23.75 points to trade at 3,844.51 as Cipla (0.94%), Sun Pharma (0.30%), GSK (0.16%) and Dr. Reddy (0.15%) are trading in positive.

BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 23.74 points up at 7,645.21 as ONGC (2.05%) and GAIL (0.96%) are trading in green whereas IPCL (0.58%) is trading in red.

BSE FMCG index dropped 6.57 points to trade at 1,849.11 as HLL (1.99%) and Dabur (0.97%) are trading in positive.

BSE Auto index decreased 7.64 points to trade at 4,895.81 as Hero Honda (1.57%), M&M (0.63%) and Maruti Udyog (0.50%) are trading in green.

BSE Banks index is trading down by 17.60 points to trade at 8,106.19 as ICICI Bank (1.12%) is trading in negative while PNB (1.15%), HDFC Bank (0.86%) and SBI (0.13%) are trading in positive.
