Mid Market Commentary

The market is trading firm at higher level. The investors have showed the buying interest towards the scrips like Capital Goods, Metal, Oil & Gas and Realty stocks. The overall market breadth is positive as 1366 stocks are advancing while 1071 stocks are declining on BSE.

At 12.31 pm, BSE sensex was at 15,630 up by 64 points while Nifty was at 4,588.15 up by 22.1 points. The BSE mid cap is higher by 6 points at 6,842 and small cap advanced by 43 points to 8,231.

BSE Capital goods index surged 266.25 points to 13,336.33 as BHEL (3.4%), L&T (3.27%) and ABB (2.89%) are trading in positive while Siemens (2.38%) is trading in negative.

BSE Metal index improved 87.12 points to trade at 12,298.22 as Tata Steel (0.56%) and Hindalco (0.55%) are trading in green whereas SAIL (0.64%) and NALCO (0.34%) are trading in red.

BSE Banks index is trading down by 37.48 points to trade at 8,357.28 as ICICI Bank (1.32%), PNB (0.87%) and SBI (0.44%) are trading in negative.

BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 61.35 points higher at 8,172.89 as GAIL (1.49%), ONGC (1.13%) and IPCL (0.27%) are trading in positive while BPCL (1.85%) and RPL (0.86%) are trading in negative.

BSE Auto index increased 22.47 points to trade at 5,147.68 as Bajaj Auto (1.29%), Hero Honda (0.73%) and Tata Motors (0.52%) are trading in green while M&M (0.73%) and Maruti Udyog (0.12%) are trading in red.

BSE Health Care index decreased 22.87 points to trade at 3,807.32 as Cipla (3.98%), Dr. Reddy (0.45%) and GSK (0.24%) are trading in positive.

BSE IT index dropped 38.76 points to trade at 4,882.30 as Infosys (2.01%) is trading in red whereas Wipro (0.99%), HCL Tech. (0.92%), Satyam (0.83%) and TCS (0.60%) are trading in green.

BSE FMCG index increased 17.10 points to trade at 1,846.29 as HUL (3.73%) and Dabur (0.98%) are trading in green whereas ITC (0.84%) is trading in red.
