Pre Open Market Commentary

Indian market is likely to have a positive opening as the US market closed in green. On Monday, the Indian markets ended on a positive note as BSE Sensex closed higher by 81.61 points at 15,045.73 while Nifty increased by 34.55 points to close at 4,419.40. We expect the market to trade higher during the trading session.

Monday, the US markets closed in green. The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJI) increased by 38.29 points to close at 13,649.97. The S&P 500 (SPX) index closed marginally up by 1.40 points at 1,531.85 while the NASDAQ Composite (RIXF) grew by 3.51 points to close at 2,670.02.

Indian ADRs ended in green. In technology sector, Satyam grew by (4%) along with Infosys by (3.16%), Wipro by (1.18%) and Patni computers by (0.52%). In banking sector, HDFC bank and ICICI bank increased by (1.06%) and 0.88% respectively. MTNL increased by (0.98%).

The major stock markets in Asia are trading mixed. The Nikkei 225 is trading lower by 40.62 points at 18,221.36, Hang Seng gained 58.74 points to trade at 22,876.17. Straits Times trading at 3,637.60 increased by 10.88 points. Taiwan weighted slipped by 9.16 points to trade at 9,360.68.

Today, Nifty has support at 4,385 and resistance at 4,480 and BSE Sensex has support at 14,960 and resistance at 15,175.
