The market gains further grounds and is trading higher due to the broad based buying continued across the board. All the sectorial indices are trading in green. The most buying interest is seeing in the Capital Goods, Metal, Oil & Gas and Realty stocks. The overall market breadth is positive as 1634 stocks are advancing while 737 stocks are declining and 57 stocks remained unchanged on BSE.
At 12.31 pm, BSE sensex was at 15,095.54 up by 159.77 points while Nifty was at 4,390.95 up by 45.1 points. The BSE mid cap is higher by 108.09 points at 6,569.55 and small cap advanced by 96.03 points to 7,871.93.
BSE Capital goods index surged 215.39 points to 12,912.80 as ABB (2.04%), BHEL (1.62%), L&T (1.57%) and Siemens (1.39%) are trading in positive.
BSE Metal index increased 151.64 points to trade at 11,222.92 as Tata Steel (1.60%), SAIL (1.39%) and Hindalco (1.26%) are trading in green while NALCO (2.63%) is trading in red.
BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 117.61 points higher at 7,890.26 as GAIL (2.45%), IPCL (1.96%), RPL (1.85%) and HPCL (1.63%) are trading in positive.
BSE Banks index is trading up by 86.11 points to trade at 7,914.57 as PNB (2.87%), SBI (2.26%) and ICICI Bank (1.01%) are trading in positive while HDFC Bank (0.95%) is trading in negative.
BSE Health Care index improved 45.36 points to trade at 3,643.59 as GSK (3.88%), Ranbaxy (2.72%), Dr. Reddy (2.25%), Sun Pharma (0.66%) and Cipla (0.54%) are trading higher.
BSE Auto index grew 5.49 points to trade at 4,777.03 as Maruti Udyog (2.31%), M&M (0.72%) and Bajaj Auto (0.26%) are trading in green while Hero Honda (2.84%) and Tata Motors (1.80%) are trading in red.
BSE FMCG index advanced 5.15 points to trade at 1,931.36 as Dabur (2.0%) and HUL (0.27%) are trading in green while ITC (0.60%) is trading in red.
BSE IT index increased 3.26 points to trade at 4,714.58 as HCL Tech. (0.34%) and Satyam (0.21%) are trading up whereas Wipro (0.63%), Infosys (0.41%) and TCS (0.09%) are trading down.
