Mid Market Commentary

The market after a strong start to the session is now trading firm at higher level. All the sectorial indices are trading in green. The capital goods, Oil & Gas, Metal and Realty stocks sustained to face the buying momentum. The overall market breadth is positive as 1924 stocks are advancing while 523 stocks are declining and 51 stocks remained unchanged on BSE.

At 12.31 pm, BSE sensex was at 15,040.78 up by 137.75 points while Nifty was at 4,384.65 up by 45.15 points. The BSE mid cap is higher by 81.44 points at 6,634.37 and small cap advanced by 144.87 points to 7,987.46.

BSE Capital goods index surged 205.63 points to 12,945.62 as BHEL (1.79%), L&T (1.63%), ABB (1.63%) and Siemens (0.89%) are trading in positive.

BSE Metal index improved 128.38 points to trade at 11,267.81 as SAIL (1.37%), Tata Steel (0.92%) and Hindalco (0.63%) are trading in green.

BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 121.32 points higher at 7,840.58 as HPCL (3.20%), BPCL (2.25%), IPCL (1.41%), GAIL (1.24%), RPL (0.88%) and ONGC (0.11%) are trading higher.

BSE Auto index grew 49.55 points to trade at 4,795.67 as Tata Motors (2.16%), M&M (1.18%), Bajaj Auto (1.13%), Matruti Udyog (0.61%) and Hero Honda (0.15%) are trading in green.

BSE Health Care index increased 37.79 points to trade at 3,636.56 as GSK (1.92%), Dr. Reddy (1.12%), Ranbaxy (0.81%), Cipla (0.54%) and Sun Pharma (0.11%) are trading higher.

BSE Banks index is trading up by 96.44 points to trade at 8,059.40 as PNB (1.79%), SBI (1.49%), and HDFC Bank (0.88%) are trading in positive while ICICI Bank (0.11%) are trading in negative.

BSE IT index increased 32.21 points to trade at 4,630.03 as Wipro (1.97%), HCL Tech. (1.68%), Infosys (0.80%), Satyam (0.65%) and TCS (0.55%) are trading up.

BSE FMCG index improved 16.80 points to trade at 1,981.07 as ITC (0.41%) and Dabur (0.29%) is trading in green.
