Mid Market commentary

The market is still trading higher following the buying momentum seen in the in the selective scrips led by the Capital Goods and Metal stocks. However the IT stocks are facing the selling tune. The overall market breadth is strong as 1797 stocks are advancing while 682 stocks are declining and 63 stocks remained unchanged on BSE.

At 12.31 pm, BSE sensex was at 14,981.52 up by 113.27 points while Nifty was at 4,365.60 up by 32.35 points. The BSE mid cap is higher by 60.65 points at 6,568.27 and small cap advanced by 120.52 points to 8,024.65.

BSE Capital goods index surged 84.19 points to 12,852.54 as BHEL (1.36%), Siemens (1.07%), ABB (0.92%) and L&T (0.45%) are trading in positive.

BSE Metal index advanced 82.25 points to trade at 10,945.86 as Tata Steel (1.57%), NALCO (0.79%), SAIL (0.67%) and Hindalco (0.66%) are trading in green.

BSE Auto index grew 38.52 points to trade at 4,774.92 as Tata Motors (1.94%), M&M (1.49%), Maruti Udyog (1.48%) and Hero Honda Motors (0.30%) are trading in green.

BSE Health Care index improved 21.76 points to trade at 3,622.85 as Sun Pharma (1.64%), Cipla (1.63%), Dr. Reddy (1.11%) and Ranbaxy (0.27%) are trading higher.

BSE FMCG index increased 18.50 points to trade at 1,921.55 as HUL (3.06%), Dabur (0.98%) and ITC (0.61%) are trading in positive.

BSE Banks index is trading up by 5.48 points to trade at 7,779.19 as PNB (0.60%), ICICI Bank (0.35%) and HDFC Bank (0.18%) are trading higher.

BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 19.77 points higher at 7,775.73 as BPCL (1.90%), HPCL (0.80%), RPL (0.88%), RPL (1.77%) and IPCL (0.28%) are trading in positive.

BSE IT index decreased 25.28 points to trade at 4,748.85 as Infosys (1.07%) and TCS (0.61%) are trading down while HCL Tech. (0.31%) and Satyam (0.21%) are trading up.
