Mid Market Commentary

The market is still trading higher as strong buying continued in the selective scrips led by Capital Goods, Metal and Realty stocks. All the BSE indices are trading in green. The overall market breadth is impressive as 1783 stocks are advancing while 619 stocks are declining and 49 stocks remained unchanged on BSE.

At 12.30 pm, BSE sensex was at 14,469.94 up by 221.28 points while Nifty was at 4,208.20 up by 55.05 points. The BSE mid cap is higher by 95.96 points at 6,255.58 and small cap advanced by 121.40 points to 7,640.10.

BSE Capital goods index surged 271.72 points to 12,669.22 as Siemens (3.90%), L&T (3.32%), BHEL (2.15%) and ABB (1.47%) are trading in positive.

BSE Metal index advanced 217.16 points to trade at 10,298.49 as SAIL (3.52%), Hindalco Industries (2.88%), NALCO (1.98%) and Tata Steel (1.93%) are trading in green.

BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 86.75 points higher at 7,598.08 as RPL (1.83%), IPCL (1.14%), ONGC (0.87%), HPCL (0.43%) and BPCL (0.33%) are trading in positive.

BSE IT index increased 64.56 points to trade at 4,413.09 as Satyam (2.40%), Infosys (1.90%), Wipro (1.55%) and TCS (0.39%) are trading up.

BSE Banks index is trading up by 56.86 points to trade at 7,444.78 as PNB (2.17%), SBI (1.78%), ICICI Bank (1.06%) are trading in positive while HDFC Bank (0.18%) is trading in negative.

BSE Auto index improved 46.08 points to trade at 4,519.87 as Tata Motors (1.94%), M&M (1.75%), Maruti Udyog (0.52%) and Bajaj Auto (0.41%) are trading higher.

BSE Health Care index increased 42.07 points to trade at 3,468.07 as Ranbaxy (2.54%), Dr. Reddy (1.77%) and GSK (0.98%) are trading higher.

BSE FMCG index grew 36.06 points to trade at 1,877.96 as ITC (2.53%), HUL (1.02%) and Dabur (0.99%) are trading in green.
