The market is trading with marginal gains as selling seen in the Auto and IT stocks. However the Realty and Metal stocks are driving significant attention. The overall market breadth is positive as 1627 stocks are advancing while 899 stocks are declining and 66 stocks remained unchanged on BSE.
At 12.30 pm, BSE Sensex was at 15,659.69 up by 43.38 points while Nifty was at 4,535 up by 16.40 points. The BSE mid cap is higher by 48.76 points at 6,897.44 and small cap advanced by 110.46 points to 8,506.04.
BSE Metal index advanced 99.57 points to trade at 11,786.61 as JSW Steel (3.74%), Hindalco Industries (2.74%), NALCO (0.76%) and TATA Steel (0.72%) are trading higher while SAIL (0.52%) and Sterlite Industries (0.13%) are trading lower.
BSE Capital goods index improved 35.16 points to 13,693.82 as BHEL (0.26%) and L&T (0.19%) are trading up while Siemens (0.62%) and ABB (0.17%) are trading down.
BSE Banks index is trading up by 35.70 points to trade at 8,146.55 as PNB (0.61%), SBI (0.55%), HDFC Bank (0.42%) and ICICI Bank (0.11%) are trading in green.
BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 24.87 points higher at 8,256.70 as ONGC (2.51%), GAIL (0.95%), Indian Oil (1.31%) are trading in positive while HPCL (0.66%) and IPCL (0.06%) are trading in negative.
BSE FMCG index increased 22.63 points to trade at 2,054.72 as ITC (1.63%), Dabur (0.45%) and HUL (0.32%) are trading higher.
BSE Health Care index increased 9.28 points to trade at 3,726.31 as Sun Pharma (2.85%), Dr. Reddy (0.45%), GSK (0.26%) and Ranbaxy (0.24%) are trading in green whereas Cipla (1.62%) is trading in red.
BSE IT index slipped by 3.45 points to trade at 4,662.01 as Wipro (1.26%), Satyam (0.88%) and HCL Tech. (0.32%) are trading down while Infosys (0.21%) and TCS (0.09%) are trading up.
BSE Auto index dropped 0.28 points to trade at 4,937.26 as Tata Motors (0.70%), Maruti Udyog (0.23%) and Bajaj Auto (0.21%) are trading in red while Hero Honda (1.68%) and M&M (0.28%) are trading in green.
