Mid Session Market

The market is now gaining some momentum on account of strong buying continued in the Realty, Capital Goods and Metal stocks. However the IT and Pharma stocks are still trading weak. The Realty index has outperformed among al the indices today. This index has gained more than 700 points.
The overall market breadth is strong as 1405 stocks are advancing while 1228 stocks are declining and 78 stocks remained unchanged on BSE.
At 12.30 pm, BSE Sensex was at 16,399.01 up by 76.26 points while Nifty was at 4,754.40 up by 22.05 points. The BSE mid cap is higher by 58.38 points at 7,174.99 and small cap advanced by 83.88 points to8,954.88.
BSE Metal index surged 194 points to trade at 12,740.34 as SAIL (3.24%), NALCO (2.55%), Hindalco Industries (2.29%), JSW Steel (2.05%) and Tata Steel (0.27%) are trading higher.
BSE Capital goods index improved 193.13 points to 14,306.12 as L&T (3.56%), Siemens (2.06%), ABB (0.72%) and BHEL (0.52%) are trading up.
BSE Auto index advanced 91.10 points to trade at 5,185.41 as M&M (4.05%), Tata Motors (2.92%), Bajaj Auto (1.91%) and Hero Honda (1.85%) are trading in positive.
BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 54.01 points higher at 8,978.12 as HPCL (2.92%), BPCL (2.25%), Essar Oil (2.10%), GAIL (1.16%), ONGC (0.88%) and RPL (0.75%) are trading in positive.
BSE FMCG index increased 29.62 points to trade at 2,170.53 as ITC (2.76%), Dabur (1.64%), HUL (0.35%), Dabur (0.32%) and Nestle (0.08%)are trading higher.
BSE Banks index advanced by 19.07 points to trade at 8,710.52 as IDBI Bank (2.92%), Kotak Bank (1.12%), SBI (0.40%), PNB (0.19%), ICICI Bank (0.16%) and HDFC Bank (0.15%) are trading in green.
BSE Health Care index dropped marginally 0.67 points to trade at 3,703.60 as Sun Pharma (1.68%), GSK (1.13%), Ranbaxy (0.73%) and Dr. Reddy (0.16%) are trading in red.
BSE IT index slipped by 92.49 points to trade at 4,398.72 as HCL Technologies (3.17%), Infosys (2.75%), TCS (2.15%), Wipro (1.79%), I-Flex (1.32%) and Satyam (1.40%) are trading down
