Indian market is likely to have a positive opening as the Asian market is trading higher and US market closed in a green territory. On Friday, the Indian markets ended on a positive note as BSE Sensex grew by 24.93 points to close at 13,796.16 while Nifty gained 19.5 points to close at 4,085.90. We expect the market to trade in green during the day.
Friday, the US markets closed in green. The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJI) inclined by 111.09 points to close at 13,326.22. The S&P 500 (SPX) index closed higher by 14.38 points at 1,505.85 while the NASDAQ Composite (RIXF) grew by 28.48 points to close at 2,562.22.
Indian ADRs ended in positive territory. In technology sector, Satyam closed higher by 2.67% along with Wipro 1.79%, Infosys 1.60% and Patni computers 1.21%. In banking sector, ICICI bank and HDFC bank gained 3.02% and 2.19% respectively. MTNL and VSNL grew by 4.08% and 1.63% respectively. In automobile sector, Tata Motors advanced by 1.79%.
The major stock markets in Asia are trading in positive territory. Japan''s Nikkei advanced by 187.02 points to trade at 17,740.74 while Hang Seng surged by 491.89 points to trade at 20,960.10. Straits Times trading higher at 3,500.76 up by 53.84 points. Taiwan weighted grew by 18.72 points to trade at 8,050.26.
