Mid Day Market Commentary

The market is trading higher. The overall market breadth is positive as around 1609 stocks advanced while 725 stocks declined and 62 stocks remained unchanged on BSE.

At 12.30 pm, BSE sensex was at 13963.47 up by 167.31 points and Nifty was at 4135.50 up by 58.95 points. The BSE mid cap and small cap are trading higher by 80.58 points and 99.03 points to 5931.85 and 7083.43 respectively.

BSE Banks index grew 154.17 points to trade at 7059.27 as PNB (4.34%), SBI (4.22%), ICICI Bank (2.04%) and HDFC Bank (1.67%) are trading higher.

BSE Capital goods index was trading 124.09 points up at Rs.9995.62 as BHEL (1.15%), Siemens (1.1%), L&T (1%) and ABB (0.51%) are trading in green.

BSE Metal index grew 114.09 points to trade at 10179.85 as Tata Steel (2.09%), Hindalco (1%), SAIL (0.44%) and NALCO (0.19%) are trading positive.

BSE Oil & gas index was trading 111.19 points up at 7299.86 as RPL (5.73%), GAIL (3.29%), BPCL (2.77%), HPCL (2.67%) and ONGC (2.24%) are trading higher.

BSE FMCG index inclined 22.68 points to trade at 1821.54 as HLL (3.37%), ITC (0.83%) and Dabur (0.11%) are trading in green.

BSE Health Care index inclined 21.30 points to trade at 3701.21 as Cipla (2.71%), GSK (1.97%), Sun Pharma (1.39%) and Ranbaxy (1.38%) are trading in positive.

BSE IT index grew 9.71 points to trade at 4933.83 as Satyam (1.12%), Wipro (1.11%) and TCS (0.14%) are trading in green .BSE Auto index inclined 0.61 points to trade at 5023.48 as Maruti Udyog (1.09%), M&M (0.72%) and Tata Motors (0.4%) are trading in positive
