Indian market is likely to have flat opening as Asian market is trading mixed and US market closed in red. On Friday, the Indian markets closed in red territory, as BSE Sensex declined by 31.88 points to close at 14,467.36 while Nifty slipped by 15.35 points to close at 4,252.05. We expect the market to remain choppy during the day.
Friday, the US markets closed in red. The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJI) dropped by 185.58 points to close at 13,360.26. The S&P 500 (SPX) index closed lower by 19.63 points at 1,502.56 and NASDAQ Composite (RIXF) closed in negative at 2,588.96 down by 28 points.
Indian ADRs closed in negative. In technology sector, Patni computers declined by (1.69%) along with Wipro, Satyam computers and Infosys by (1.58%), (1.42%) and (1.24%) respectively. ICICI bank grew by (0.42%) while HDFC bank slipped by (1.63%). VSNL and MTNL slipped by (1.07%) and (0.39%) respectively. In automobile sector, Tata Motors, declined by (1.38%).
The major stock markets in Asia are trading mixed. The Nikkei 225 is trading at 18,096.14 declined by 92.49 point. Hang Seng tumbled by 9.72 points to trade at 22,009.63. Strait Times index slipped by 15.91 points to trade at 3,599.47. Taiwan weighted trading up by 144.02 points at 8,956.93.
Today, Nifty has support at 4,205 and resistance at 4,320 and BSE Sensex has support at 14,320 and resistance at 14,660.
