Mid Market Commentary

The market is trading firm and enjoying at higher level due to some strong buying continued in the selective scrips led by Capital Goods, Metal and Realty sector. The overall market breadth is negative as 1074 stocks are advancing while 1208 stocks are declining a.

At 12.31 pm, BSE sensex was at 15,643.04 up by 92.91 points while Nifty was at 4,587.70 up by 25.6 points. The BSE mid cap is higher by 31 points at 6,858.74 while small cap dropped by 9.22 points to 8,249.30.

BSE Capital goods index surged 187.37 points to 13,063.55 as L&T (3.19%) and Siemens (0.22%) are trading in positive while ABB (0.28%) and BHEL (0.24%) are trading in negative.

BSE Metal index surged 183.83 points to trade at 12,216.81 as Tata Steel (2.78%) and SAIL (1.28%) are trading in green whereas NALCO (1.03%) and Hindalco (0.54%) are trading in red.

BSE Banks index is trading up by 56.01 points to trade at 8,509.98 as ICICI Bank (1.21%), PNB (1.03%) and SBI (0.81%) are trading in positive whereas HDFC Bank (0.99%) is trading in negative.

BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 19.94 points higher at 8,188.29 as BPCL (0.90%), HPCL (0.77%) and IPCL (0.53%) are trading in positive while ONGC (1%) and GAIL (0.30%) are trading in negative.

BSE Auto index increased 14.58 points to trade at 5,162.16 as M&M (0.86%) and Tata Motors (0.13%) are trading in green while Bajaj Auto (0.55%), Hero Honda (0.43%) and Maruti Udyog (0.36%) are trading in red.

BSE Health Care index increased 8.32 points to trade at 3,849.17 as Ranbaxy (1.99%) and Sun Pharma (0.20%) are trading in positive while Cipla (1.46%), GSK (0.88%) and Dr. Reddy (0.15%) are trading in negative.

BSE IT index dropped 13.69 points to trade at 4,942.62 as Satyam (1.44%) and TCS (0.34%) are trading in red whereas Wipro (0.20%) and Infosys (0.10%) are trading in green.

BSE FMCG index decreased 10.54 points to trade at 1,830.95 as HLL (1.82%) and Dabur (0.24%) are trading in red whereas ITC (0.10%) is trading in green.
