Pre Open Market Commentary

Indian market is likely to have a positive opening as the Asian market is trading firm and US market closed in green. On Thursday, the Indian markets ended on a positive territory as BSE Sensex closed higher by 248.96 points at 15,550.13 while Nifty increased by 62.55 points to close at 4,562.10. We expect the market to remain optimism during the trading session.

Thursday, the US markets closed in green. The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJI) increased by 82.19 points to close at 14,000.41. The S&P 500 (SPX) index closed up by 6.91 points at 1,553.08 while the NASDAQ Composite (RIXF) grew by 20.55 points to close at 2,720.04.

Indian ADRs ended in positive. In technology sector, Infosys gained by (3.46%) followed by Satyam (2.70%), Wipro (1.67%) and Patni computers (1.05%). In banking sector, HDFC bank and ICICI bank grew by (3.72%) and (3.26%) respectively. VSNL increased by (1.22%).

The major stock markets in Asia are trading strong. Hang Seng surged by 184.73 points to trade at 23,200.93. Straits Times trading up by 38.26 points at 3,642.83. Taiwan weighted also trading higher by 48.24 at 9,521.55

Today, Nifty has support at 4,532 and resistance at 4,635 and BSE Sensex has support at 15,400 and resistance at 15,830.
